Primus brought forth the twin Fates. Two beings who are one, they awoke in the void. Surrounded by chaos, they made titans to forge Alendria. One Fate created Bahamut, Dragon of Light. He formed the sun and sky, completing the Realms. His son, The High One, was granted authority over the Realms and made many wondrous things. The greatest of his creations were the Elves. Perfect and glorious immortals tasked to be eternal stewards of Alendria.
Chaos did not rest, influencing the other Fate to birth Tiamat. The Dragon of Darkness rose from the deepest abyss to fill the lower planes with her hell fire. Spewing forth demons and devils from her great maw she birthed the God of the Damned. He emerged from a massive pit in the northern wastes, far from the lush and pristine forests of the elven kingdoms. Mocking the High One's creation, he made foul races like orcs and ogres. Even the Dark God's shit created horrible bugbears.
Thus began the War of the Fates. Light and darkness clashed in an epic conflict that shattered the realms. Unprepared for such an onslaught the elves did their best to fight but suffered heavy losses. Gaia, the greatest titan and goddess of nature, created dwarves to aid the elves. Now equipped with powerful enchanted gear and a race of hearty warriors supporting them, the elves pushed forward!
The carnage was absolute, elven knights and dwarven warriors engaged in mortal combat with huge ogres, savage orc hordes and greater demons. The High One sent down angels to aid them, heaven and hell joined the war. Elven high magic exploded in huge azure blasts, wiping out groups of the Damned Gods armies. The main elf force was led by their glorious King, most favored of The High One. The pit was guarded by Excaldrieth, the elder black dragon son of the Damned God. His foul aura of darkness rendered the elven magic useless. Hope was not lost, for the High One had awakened the mighty World Tree. The enormous tree man lumbered into battle, his blessed bark ignoring the dragon's flaming breath. They wrestled in a colossal struggle as the elves pressed on, for the God of the Damned could only be truly defeated in the pit.
Though the Dark God's armies were diminished, the closer he was to the pit the stronger he became. Most of the elf king's vanguard was slain, dead elves and dwarves were scattered among the dead orcs and ogres. In the chamber of the pit, the elf king was overcome with fear and his sword slipped away from his hands as he was flush with despair. Seeing his beautiful elves and their slain unicorns lying among the dead, he lost hope.
The Dark God was poised to win when the elf king began to pray to the High One. Admitting he did not have the power to win, he fell to his knees. The Dark God howled with satisfaction, thinking the king was submitting to him. There would be no victory for him this day, however, for a sacred flame began to burn in the king's heart. It grew with fierce intensity as a single massive ray of sunlight burst through the ceiling of the chamber.
The holy light of the High One bathed the king as he rose to his feet. A sacred blade, forged from pure essence of Bahamuts spirit, shot down through the beam planting right in front of the king. It was cool to the touch as he grabbed the Sun Brand, raising it above his head. A massive aura of golden energy began to emit from him, reviving his slain unicorn mount.
She immediately scrambled to her feet, eyes glowing bright green. Her hooves clacked furiously against the chambers floor as she hit a full sprint toward the king. Holding the Sun Brand sword above his head, he shouted "By The High One! May you be banished forever!" He began radiating holy light as he performed a perfect backflip, landing squarely on the saddle of his charging unicorn. Her golden horn blazing with holy energy as they leapt defiantly into the pit. Exploding with a massive pulse of white light, they sacrificed themselves to end the war of the fates. The Realms were delivered into the hands of the High One forever.
Although victorious, Tiamat could not be fully destroyed. Evil still dwelled in the north, corrupted by chaos that invaded after the Fates returned to their slumber. To defend the Realms, The High One created the Humans. Blessed with Gaia's fertility and charged with rebuilding, they spread throughout the lands. The last of the Elves returned to their Sacred Groves and treetop kingdoms as dwarves settled in the mountains.
Thousands of years have passed since the War of Fates. Most lands are peaceful, blessed by Bahamut, their kin are good and true. Those from the north serve Tiamat and sow destruction, vowing to take the Realms by force one day.

The forces of good and evil battle for control of Alendria!
Which side will you be on!
